There are a few things to talk about in Jeopardy! land this morning. Firstly, as of 12:01 AM Pacific this morning, the WGA strike has ended. The show’s writers may return to work and Jeopardy! is no longer being struck against. This, of course, is contingent upon ratification of the WGA deal by the full WGA membership.
Secondly, the debut of Season 2 of Celebrity Jeopardy! is tonight at 8:00 Eastern (7:00 Central) on ABC. As I always say about primetime Jeopardy!, this could be a different network/station than you watch your normal syndicated Jeopardy! on. Tonight’s debut features Mark Duplass (Chip on The Morning Show), Emily Hampshire (Stevie on Schitt’s Creek), and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Jay on Ghosts).
On to today’s syndicated game, we have Barb Fecteau, Mark Lucas, and Allison Pistorius looking to join Michalle Gould and Jilana Cotter in the weekly final.

The first thing I would like to point out about this Final Jeopardy clue: No, it is not a repeated clue. Yes, it was similar to the clue we had in February about the same subject, but they are different clues. This was certainly an easy clue for me, as my writeup in February mentioned Chrysomallos/Chrysomallus (I’m not particularly concerned about the spelling here, it’s a transliteration into English of a term from two and a half millennia ago). Chrysomallus, the Golden Ram, was the offspring of Poseidon and Theophane; the Golden Fleece was famously quested for by Jason and his Argonauts ().

- I would have thought that the show wouldn’t have repeated a question like TRICKY QUESTIONS $200, considering that none of the contestants gave a correct response when it originally ran in 2000, and that clue went about as viral as you could get in 2000.
