Company History

Based in Osaka, Japan, Round 1 was already an established name in the country when the company decided to expand operations. Their primary target was the US and it wasn’t easy given the brand wasn’t that well known.

The first Round 1 US store opened in 2010 in California. Even though the company was unknown the store proved popular with bowlers and other customers. This allowed the company to open other stores in the US.

In 2014 the company expanded further. While bowling remained popular the store began featuring other attractions like the Kids Play Zone. The store also began to target other demographics.

From its founding in 1980, Round 1 had expanded rapidly, from starting with arcade games to adding other elements including bowling alleys. Currently it has more than 100 stores in operation.

Bowling

Round 1 Original Moon Light Strike gives away prizes to those who get a strike. There is also Cosmic Bowling where you play under unique lights and music. They also have ramps for kids who love bowling, plus screens so you can keep an eye on the action. There are also personal lockers if you brought your own ball and shoes.

Billiards

Their billiards 9 ball is the most popular offering, but there are other types of games including 8 ball. Depending on the game you play you’ll either be using a Murrey or Brunswick table, both of which are high class.

Arcade Games

Round 1 offers an impressive array of arcade games including Cannon Rollers, Injustice Arcade, Disney Tsum Tsum, Maximum Tune Series, Point Blank and more. Round 1 also updates their games and introduces new ones.

Ping Pong and Darts

If it’s your first time time to play darts they have introductory games available. With their different types of darts and ping pong you’ll be able to play in different ways.
