This is why I don’t usually keep my sessions for free on top mentoring platforms like Unstop & topmate.io!I have always considered these platforms as a way to connect and help out people more than any monetary need. I have had calls which were meant to be for 30 mins only but went on till 1.5 hrs and multiple follow-up calls attended without any extra charges.While almost all of them gave me good feedback and found it helpful, I don’t disagree with the fact that some people may find it not that useful as well. But something that bothered me lately is how people take things for granted when they get something for free. I recently joined the Unstop mentor community and have received 1 mentoring call booking (Chargeable, but the first session will be free as per Unstop policy) as well as one query (Free service) in the last week. Mentoring Call - I had a hectic schedule that day but still managed to join 5 minutes before the call and had prepared some notes on placement prep as it was the topic of discussion. Guess what, I waited for 15 min on the call but still the guy didn’t turn up.Query- Got a query yesterday. Didn’t seem to be a detailed and accurate one by the looks of it but still I tried to give a professional answer to the query in just a few minutes. When I opened my dashboard accidentally late in the night, I saw the same person giving the worst rating and review for the service.I have had similar cases earlier as well when you offer some service for free and thereby try to help out someone, but they don’t reciprocate half the seriousness that you are putting. While still some people criticise mentorship platforms and mentors charging a fee for it, people should see the other side of it.Ps: I do respect the feedback given and agree that it can change from person to person. But I feel people should also understand the effort you’re putting in and the importance of conveying your queries with the utmost clarity.#mentoring #unstop #topmate #guidance #mentor #service

I'm excited to share with you all that I have successfully completed my MBA (PGDM) from , with a major in Marketing and a minor in Analytics.It still feels like I started the SPJIMR journey only a few days ago, and that has been the entire story of the last 2 years. I am truly humbled to have had the opportunity to be part of this batch and hereby express my heartfelt thanks to those who stayed with me along the journey ❤As some of you will start your MBA journey soon, I'd like to share some bits of advice.1. Your MBA ROI is not your CTC divided by your Fees; the decision to pursue an MBA should come from a long-term perspective rather than a short-term one.2. MBA is not just about getting good grades in 'x' number of subjects. There's a lot more offered beyond the subjects, but whether to make use of it or not is in your hands.3. Hard skills can help you get the job done, but soft skills can take you the extra mile.4. Try making 'friends' rather than making 'connections' or a network during the MBA journey.5. #advertising that catches the eye!✨A few days back I saw a post on the official Instagram account of Formula 1. As usual, #f1’s content was really interesting on the one hand, but on the other hand, I found an intriguing combination of ad placement and its integration into the product values.I am talking about the placement of the #whatsapp logo on the headphone mics of the Mercedes crew.💡Visibility- If you watch F1 you might know this. Whenever the team principal or the crew is shown, it will be in a closeup shot and the mic where Whatsapp has placed its logo will easily catch the eye of the audience. 💡Brand Integration- What will come to your mind when it comes to WhatsApp? It’s the best app for communication, Right? So by just putting a simple logo there, it indirectly emphasises the idea that it brings out the best communication that you would like to have just like how the crew communicates precisely with the F1 driver.💡ROI - I don’t know exactly how much will this deal cost. But certainly, the costs will be less compared to other advertising options and the impact it creates will be much more than a standard billboard ad or other standard display ads. So effectively it acts more like a BTL ad than an ATL ad, but at a much lesser cost.F1 is truly a space that is now evolving with a lot of innovation not just in terms of futuristic automotive development, but also in the realm of branding and sponsorships. Saw something really exciting!✨A few days back I saw this interesting billboard beside the Mumbai Western Express Highway. When brands are moving away from ATL (Above the line) traditional modes of marketing to more BTL (Below the line) modern marketing, it's kind of hard to find some interesting advertising like this.The catch here was not just how creatively they made a live swing in the billboard, but also the fitment of the same idea with the actual product or service.
