I don’t care how old these two are. They didn’t care about the young man that was only 15 . They need to go to jail and the. judge should throw away the key.

I have to ask them, what were they thinking killing this kid. Why! Now they get to go to jail. That's not even fair to the the young man killed, because he has no more life to live. He is dead. But they just threw their lives away. Now looking back, was it worth it? No. Condolences to the family of Derrick Wilson

Many lives ruined by one act of carelessness. It has to be extremely difficult for everyone, especially for the family of the young man whose voice is forever silenced.

All I can think about now is who is raising these kids?! They are so lost! Praying for the family of the victim. God please heal the land! 🙏🏾

So heartbreaking. 😥 When you have lawmakers passing laws that say these kids can have guns without a permit or background check, I'm not sure what they thought would happen.

We all keep asking why. I believe that we as a community need to do more to try to stop crime. If you see or hear something tell the police. One of the reasons we have so many people being killed is because this city is not helping the police when we are asked.

😠 Good now they'll get what's coming to them in jail for life

Praying the “suspect” is captured. Thank you LEO for being so quick on this. Praying for the deceased’s family.

City of Sumter police are fantastic

May justice be swift and harsh!

His Mom need to be arrested also for giving him that crazy name.

Jail time boys....may you have many years behind bars.

Why I just don’t understand where all this hatred and regard for human life came from …. Praying for thx family of that poor child instead of celebrating his birthday they are planning a funeral 💧💧💧💧💧

I'm glad they got them !!

This is so sad. Children should not be killing children. My prayers for the family.

Father in heaven please wrap your arms around this Mother and her family, they have suffered so much loss this past year and now to lose another family member is too much. I ask that you give her some kind of peace and comfort that only you can give. Father I ask that somehow you give our town a miracle and show us how to come together instead of destroying each other. I ask this in your name Father Amen 🙏

They killed him and throw his body around like he’s nobody ole a**holes justice is going to be served ya’ll tore our Mayesville and Sumter community apart🙏🙏🙌🏾🙌🏾

Praying for his family

Ruined the rest of their lives and took another one. What in the Heck is going thru these peoples minds these days. PURE EVIL!!!

Please. Give. Them. 25. To. Life. To. Protect. Our. Community. And. The. Rest. Of. These. Young. Boys. Doing. All. This. Senseless. Killings. They. Punks. If they. Don't. Got. A. Gun.

Why do they think the answer is murder ? Where did that get them ? What did they do to their own families ? The family, of the life taken , didn’t deserve this …they All Lost ! No winners !

🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 sending prayers

Happy Heavenly Birthday 🎂

The sad part about it all is these are 🗣️KIDSSSSS‼️‼️‼️‼️ no one is truly getting to see 25 anymore

Hope his family gets justice!!! Prayers for them all!!!

DON'T BE DUPED!
Scammers will use the elements of surprise, authority, fear and urgency to prompt you into making a bad decision.
It's not uncommon that we are made aware of or receive reports of residents receiving calls from someone posing as a ranking law enforcement officer, a public official/person of authority or a local utility company wanting payment for a warrant, outstanding bill, etc. The scammer then asks that the transaction be made using bitcoin or some type of prepaid financial transaction card.
STAY ALERT AND AWARE. No law enforcement officer, public official/authority or business will operate in this manner.
If you receive a call, text message or email that resembles this tactic, ignore it and don't respond to links or phone numbers that might be included. When in doubt, contact law enforcement.
For more information or to report a potential scam, call the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700.
